Movie Month
Every week during one month a movie will be shown.

How much will a movie cost?
Movies during movie month will cost 2 or 3 dollars.

Where will the money go to?
The money will go towards the rest of the events for the class of 2018.

Is there a set month?
Still waiting for a date and will get it out as soon as possible.

What is the decision process on what movies will be shown?
Asb will come up with a large list of movies and then narrow it down based on what’s approved by the school. Then will ask around, and send out survey to advisories to what movies sound good. Will be many genres.

Garfield Cares
So what is Garfield Cares?
Garfield cares is a program partnered with ptsa, creating care packages compiled with many things like toiletries, school supplies, resources for jobs, college, housing, we’re trying to get everything.
How will you get to students in need?
Reaching out to counselors, teen health center to try to get to students who go there for help, then open up to rest of the school, and have a general place where anybody who needs it can get it.

How can students help?
Students can contact any of the ASB officers to get involved.

Is snowball a thing?
Snowball is definitely happening, and a date will be released in the near future.

Is it a certain someone ask someone?
Will be everybody ask everybody. Also, we’re Still coming up with themes so if there are any ideas contact ASB.

Immigrant month
What is immigrant month?
Immigrant month is a month dedicated to awareness, organizing a day of action regarding immigrant rights and the violations going on to immigrant communities. Each week will have a different theme: Awareness, selling merch where the proceeds will go towards a charity that helps with legal protections and paperwork and a week of mobilization.

ASB classes
Are the class ASB officers doing anything for their class?
Class of 2020, working on fanny pack and sweatshirt merch. Class of 2021 holding a sticker competition, students encouraged to design a garfield related sticker for new merch, open to whole school, 5 design winners get free merch.
Bulldog brawl is not associated with Garfield’s ASB. Having inter-hi soon, have leaders from different schools come to garfield to have a workshop, contact asb if you want to help with that.
