Looking Back on 2023

What a W rizz year.
Looking+Back+on+2023

January:

2023 just started and the star Ellen Pompeo quit acting on Grey’s Anatomy. Doja dressed up in her bejeweled red bodysuit while Noah Schnapp came out on social media.

February:

The Messenger made a back page full of questionable jokes about Valentine’s Day while Rihanna was simultaneously giving a halftime show pregnant with several marshmallow backup dancers.

March:

No surprise in March, as both Garfield Basketball teams took the State Cup. Taylor Swift began her high-grossing Era’s tour that quickly took over the internet, meanwhile at Garfield, students were shocked as Spanish teacher Ms. Mcgrath left…

April:

Mario Movie.

May:

With May came the controversial Met Gala theme, with critics pointing out Lagerfeld’s inflammatory statements; Doja Cat rose above all, winning with her infamous cat outfit. The Live action Little Mermaid premiered with racist critiques.

June:

Considerably one of the busiest months, as Garfield was hit with a surprise 2000s Baby Concert. A month filled with Grimace Shakes and Spiderverse Canon event jokes. Though the month wasn’t all great, the billionaire-filled Titanic submarine sank along with Garfield’s Senior prank.

July:

While many people in Hollywood were on strike, a new Barbie movie hit theaters with a gazillion pink outfits following it. Oppenheimer also debuted, giving the world Florence Pughs’s 15-minute special scene… 😉 However, Cardi B was not having a good month as she threw a microphone at a fan… awkward.

August:

England and Spain met for the first time in the Women’s World Cup finals. However, Spain’s win was overshadowed by the controversy of the Royal Spanish Football Federation as the President kissed a player during the medal ceremony without her consent.

September:

Every artist thought September was the right time to come for a concert as Beyonce, Coldplay, and the Lumineers visited the PNW. Some concerts were more successful than others as many got lost in lines on the way to Lumineers.

October:

October launched off with a “lockdown” at Garfield, with a shooting right outside. Hoco went down with multiple themes and hours-long lines to get in. An annular eclipse crossed North, Central, and South America. Random football player Travis Kelce started dating superstar Taylor Swift.

November:

Fortnite booms again with Epic Games bringing back Chapter one map, while Josh Hutcherson whistle edits filled our feed.

December:

December just started, with Spirit Week kicking off the fun. Have an awesome break and happy holidays!
