The sky opening up in Forks, Washington meant only one thing: fans at home were in for an exciting game of vampire baseball. For years, outsiders have been (literally) dying to watch the Cullens in action, but don’t fret – supernatural sports commentator Ima Ghosta is ready to bring the game straight to you. Let’s play ball!
On the mound, we have Alice Cullen with Rosalie Hale batting lead-off. Right as the lightning strikes, Alice demonstrates ballerina-esque flexibility with her signature high-kick, delivering a fastball – clocking in at speeds of around 124 mph, but what a hit from Rosalie! With both her superhuman strength and incredible time precision, the ball darted through the woods at a whopping 189 mph.
“That’s gotta be a home run,” remarks baseball rookie Bella Swan. Little does she know, the defensive team has a certain supernatural comeback up their glove.
Edward Cullen, Forks’ fastest outfielder, catches the ball before anyone could blink. As Rosalie zips her way back to home plate, Edward rips a 114 mph bazooka throw directly to catcher Esme Cullen, who snags it just as Rosalie slides towards the plate, resulting in her out. Note the look of aggravation on the batter’s face as she walks past Swan. Methinks there’s drama on the field….
Next up to bat is Carlisle Cullen, receiving yet another flawless fastball from Forks’ favorite pitcher, Alice Cullen, reaching speeds of up to 120 mph. What a dime! Right off the bat, Carlisle hits the ball, and it dashes down the field at 163 mph, which isn’t as deep as Rosalie, but he’s still right on the ball.
Outfielders Edward and Emmett “Monkey Man” Cullen both have their eye on the ball, with Edward charging at speeds of 111 mph and Emmett at 104 mph. Both attempt a circus catch, leaping 13 feet into the air, but the two collide, allowing Carlisle to reach second base successfully. This guy’s not taking any chances!
Ready to swing next is hitter Jasper Cullen, who’s seeing the ball and hitting it hard; the pitch reaching up to 121 mph with the hit leaving the bat at 178 mph. Outfielder Emmett has a different plan and executes his signature “climb-and-catch.” Stunning! He really is a monkey man.
With Jasper and Carlisle at first and third base apiece, it’s now back to hitter Rosalie Hale to bring it home, but right as she hits the big fly, the game is interrupted by the Cullens’ one and only rival team: The Nomads. Looks like the Cullens will have to put down their bats for this one, and folks, that’s all we have for today! Tune in next time for more neck-biting action!
