It’s basketball season and the dogs are ready. With last year’s championship win by our girls and a close encounter to victory with our boys, this year both teams are aiming for another championship win. We interviewed Imbie Jones, a senior on the Garfield girls varsity team. She states this year she wants to be more active on the team by being a bigger support, and stepping up by playing in every game. Most players say the most challenging part about basketball would be staying motivated, and staying consistent. Everyday showing out can be difficult. Not everyday is the same, vibes and energy may vary each practice or even during each game, but they make do by setting goals, focusing on actions, thinking about your team, and not making excuses
